It is the first day of new year today~! Happy chinese new year, everyone. ^^ See. i'm so nice. Came to blog just to wish all of you happy new year. (actually, i was playing games.) ahem. well, it's the thought that counts right.
Since it's the new year, let me state some stuffs which i think it's relevant after what happened last year.
I realized, lots of people around me is not contented with what they have without realizing it. How many times have you told yourself or others that your parents are torturing you? How many times have you complained last year? How many times have you took things for granted? How many times have you shouted at your parents? How many times have you selfishly did stuffs without thinking of the other party? What happens if the radio, tv, everything suddenly announced, "We are going to have a huge gigantic earthquake in Singapore, everyone, please flea for your life because, singapore will drown." Look around you. MRT, LRT, bus transports, Cabs, all of them are not invented over night. And we are so fortunate to be able to ride them. Does india has such technology? what about tsunami? Some ended up with no families and here we are, complaining that our parents nag at us. I think, those people there yearn for parents to nag at them. So, pls, keep in mind that all the things around you are not brought to you for nothing. Appreciate them. Because, people/things are not there forever.
And students out there, pls study hard. If you are in poly/JC now, think back. Have you regretted not studying hard enough and so, you ended up in your "not-so-expected" school? Do you want to make the same mistake again? a cert is still a cert, yes. But grades do matter. You only study once, pls, make it a satisfying one. You wouldn't wanna end up with no job in future. By that time, you'd end up with nothing. So, pls don't do stuffs which you'll regret later in life.
And people out there, pls fight for your own happiness. Happiness dun come overnight. They are not given by God. (whoever religions you are.) God can only give apportunities. You are the one who have to fight for them. Dun think that you are the only one suffering. If you are suffering, what are those people in tsunami doing? problems DO come and go. Do not think that they are here to stay. they are here to stay ONLY if you dun try to solve them. Make the effort to make yourself and the one you love happy. Self determination and confidence is important. Everythign can be taken away from you but not your self determination and confidence. You'll need it, trust me. You'll need it to face ALL problems in life. It's the reality. Face it. solve it.
